Equipment Sales

ABI Innovation develops and manufactures equipment that non-destructively provides tensile and fracture toughness properties of metals. The proprietary ABI®  test method saves program and facility owners costs and time lost from conventional, destructive testing.

Automated Ball Indentation® (ABI®) is a nondestructive mechanical test where a spherical (ball) indenter is forced into the surface of a metallic sample or a structural component to nondestructively determine tensile and fracture toughness. This is performed using the Stress-Strain Microprobe® (SSM™).
